we spent half of a day on skellig michael, just a boat ride away but it feels like a different world. something out of a miyazaki film. but with lots of puffins! at the top is an abandoned monastery, and the bottom looks like a pirate cove. the boat ride back was really choppy and rainy, but in the greatest way. more pictures on my flickr.

from cobh we drove to kerry, at the very south. the scenery on the drive was beautiful, but didn’t prepare me at all for what we’d see the closer we got to the cottage. which was in caherdaniel, or to be more precise, at the very tip of lambs head. to get to there you have to drive half an hour along a narrow, winding road along rocks which drop to the ocean. these are views from the cottage and nearby, where we stayed for a few days. this place totally secluded and just breathtaking- i’d never seen anything like it before.
